PawsLetter (掌心來信, "we", "us", or "our") respects and values your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have. We believe that being clear about data is itself a form of respect.
1. Data We Collect
When you use PawsLetter, we collect the following data:
- Email address — used to send you the welcome letter, letter delivery notifications, and occasional PawsLetter updates.
- Time zone — provided automatically by your browser, used to deliver letters at a suitable local hour and to avoid disturbing you late at night.
- Telegram account information (chat ID, username) — used to deliver your pet's letters via Telegram.
- Your pet's name and photos — the photos and name you upload, used to generate AI images and messages unique to your pet.
- Language and regional preferences — used to determine the language of each letter and any relevant local holidays.
We do not collect passwords, payment card numbers (if payment is introduced in the future, it will be handled by a third-party payment provider — we will not store your card details), or any personal data unrelated to the service.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used solely to provide the PawsLetter service:
- Generating and delivering your pet's letters (image and message)
- Delivering at a suitable time and in your chosen language
- Sending service-related notifications and updates
- Improving the quality of our service
We will never sell your data to any third party, or use it for advertising unrelated to PawsLetter.
3. Third-Party Services
To provide the service, we share certain data with the following trusted third parties. We chose them for their strong track records in data security:
- Google (Google Sheets) — stores your account data (email, preferences, etc.).
- Cloudflare (R2, Workers) — stores your uploaded pet photos (private storage, not publicly accessible) and runs our service infrastructure.
- Third-party AI image generation service — when generating your pet's AI image, your pet photos are sent to our partner AI image generation service for processing. We use your photos solely to generate images for you and for no other purpose.
- Resend — sends emails on our behalf.
- Telegram — delivers your pet's letters.
Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data only for as long as is necessary to provide the service.
You may request deletion of all your data (including account information and uploaded photos) at any time. Please write to support@pawsletter.pet and we will process your request within a reasonable timeframe.
5. Unsubscribing
You may cancel your subscription at any time and for any reason:
- Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom; most email clients (such as Gmail) also display an "Unsubscribe" button at the top of the message.
- You may also stop the service at any time directly through Telegram.
- If you would like us to delete all your data, please refer to Section 4 above.
6. Data Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data: photos you upload are stored in private storage (not accessible via public links), and access to account data is restricted. That said, no method of internet transmission or storage is 100% guaranteed to be secure. We will continue to do our best and to improve our practices.
7. Children
PawsLetter is not designed for children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If there are material changes, we will notify you through appropriate means. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
